Responsibilities:
-Directly reports to the Facility Foreman - Clean and maintain assigned areas, including warehouse departments, outside areas/parking lot and common areas.
- Perform routine custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and spraying.
- Empty trash receptacles into appropriate dumpsters.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors - Sanitize and disinfect surfaces to maintain a clean and safe environment - Restock supplies designated areas - Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment - Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Facility Foreman - Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while performing custodial duties
Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred - Knowledge of floor care techniques such as moping is a plus - Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks is desirable - Ability to operate custodial equipment such as vacuums, brooms and mops.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently - Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently - Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed - Excellent communication skills to interact with coworkers and supervisors -Ability to stand for long periods of time Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
